DIY Underwater Camera Housing Test
I built this housing out of:
-1 12" piece of 4" PVC pipe
-1 threaded end cap
-1 solid end cap with a 3" hole cut in it
-1 4" acrylic plastic disc
-2 7" pieces of rope attached as handles
-1 bottle of industrial strength marine sealant
My total cost was only $19!!!!
The camera I used was my old Panasonic PV-GS80. I wrapped it in a t shirt to provide padding, and had my fisheye lens on for a nice wide angle, but it was often too wide, so next time I will zoom in. My shots kinda suck because today was the first day I've ever filmed in the water. Next time I hope I will get some better results.
THIS HOUSING WAS NOT MY IDEA, I GOT THE IDEA FROM MIKE AT mikemoon.net/vlog/.
Thanks Mike!
