Within the Indigenous cultures of the Pacific region and specifically to the islands of Samoa the concept of talanoa is a process of finding mutual ground based on exchange of ideas. Talanoa: Walk the Talk is an on-going performance art project conceived by Artist Shigeyuki Kihara, which brings diverse ethnic and religious grass roots communities across New Zealand and Australia into a intercultural dialogue through music and dance.
