Since I didn't manage to record daily recaps of the following two days at E3, I summed them all up in this massive reflection video. Long video is long. My apologies.

Thanks again for the coverage. I heard that despite the bad economy, game sales are doing quite well. I am surprised that the developers have lost their enthusiasm and that E3 was so disappointing. Is it an all or nothing phenomenon? Without the extravagance of previous years, the vendors have lost interest? Kind of like a neighborhood Christmas lights competition after new rules have been crafted saying that only 100 lights and a single inflatable object can be displayed. What's the point?

As exemplified by the Wii and the sprouting success of the casual games market, the gaming industry is going through a really interesting shift. I think these changes are making gamers who are used to the non-casual stuff a little weary of the future of gaming, and that discomfort was surely exemplified by this E3. I never had a chance to go to the E3 when it was a big cash whore, but the efforts on the part of the developers this time around did seem somewhat 'lazy'. Almost like they only kind of cared.
