For One More Day, The New York Times No. 1 Bestseller from Mitch Albom, explores the themes of family, regret and the wish that we could have just one more day with a lost loved one. Publisher Little, Brown needed a website to support and broaden awareness for the book.
Devised in collaboration with Apt Studio, the web concept is an honest and beautiful interpretation of the book which allows viewers to engage with the book and other readers by creating a star to dedicate to a loved one.
The site’s back end is based on an open-source forum software, for which we wrote a custom API, then interpreted in three-dimensional space using the Papervision 3D engine for Flash.
Over 500 stars were created during the lifetime of the campaign. The book has sold over 125,000 copies, reached #29 in the TCM PB charts, and reached #4 in the Republic of Ireland PB Fiction chart and remained in the Top 20 for 4 months.
