ArtCorps Artists Caterina Almirall and Pau Urgell, in collaboration with Honduras-based Bosques Pico Bonito, work to promote environmental stewardship among communities living in the national park. In preparation for the annual Dia del Arbol (Arbor Day) festival, they hosted a children's drawing competition, performed skits and songs about their natural resources, and created a giant puppet of the Pachamama (Mother Earth) which they proudly carried in a parade, along with signs such as:

“Want water? Take care of your forest.”
“If you cut down a tree, plant two.”
