The problem with being an event organizer as well as the guy who's supposed to document the event is that something's gotta give.
In the case of the first annual "Hurt in the Dirt" race, I erred on the side of event organizer...hoping to make the event the safest and coolest possible for the racers. As a result, I didn't get as much footage of the event as I had hoped.
The good news is that I had other videographers shooting other parts of the course and we should be able to put something cool together once we assemble all the footage.
In addition, Bryan Smith was capturing a pile of still images as was Steve Conlin and his small army of photographers.
I'll try to get all of it in one place and make something of it in the coming days. In the mean time, racers, volunteers and organizers of "Hurt in the Dirt" have my deepest respect. You guys killed it!!
