    it does seem like (if you had a choice) you'd do a zoo internship video on an intern who works directly with the animals, but my guess is that for some reason, that wasn't an option.

    Your hunch is correct. I'm under the impression the reporter called up the zoo, and this was the intern they made available.

    It turned out better than expected. I went to the zoo thinking he was going be in a trailer, drawing up plans for the garden I held the interview in.
