DesignOnTampere (registered association) enhances the design and city culture in Tampere, Finland. The association organizes different events like Tampere Design week which is called (believe it or not) DesignOnTampere. These events brings together designers, industry and consumers genually through doing. Unprejudiced cooperation with different partners and anarchistic attitude towards the traditions and hierarchies in design changes design from serious to something fresh and playful. All this makes design more approachable for everybody.

The theme of Design week 2010 is city biking. DesignOnTampere shows biking as safe and efficient way to travel. A bike is every day design. It unites design and practicality in the most useful way.
