Allegra is a 16 year old girl who dreams of becoming a writer. She doesn’t have many friends and is slightly unconfident and lonely. One day by the beach, she meets Valerie, a chatty girl on holiday with a carefree attitude to life. They immediately strike up a friendship and together they will embark on a journey of self-discovery around Harbour Island whose beauty will prove to be empowering for them both.
This film was shot on location in Harbour Island , The Bahamas in February 2010. Amancay Tapia was one of the 14 filmmakers selected as a finalist of the U.K nationwide competition, The 14 Islands Film Challenge.14islandsfilmchallenge.bahamas.co.uk/
The actors of the film are all local children and teenagers with no previous acting experience and students at the Harbour Island All Age School.
