I have these strange lines that appear within applications on my iMac and the problem is getting worse and worse. I have no idea what to do about this issue.

Are you under warranty/AppleCare still? Can you take it in to an Apple Store and have them check it? I'd just be guessing, but I'd think it was video card memory going bad.

I do have AppleCare (first time I've ever bought it after 10 years with Mac) and I will probably do that. But I have a little time and am hoping for the slight chance of finding a fix. I hate the idea of lugging this thing to the Apple Store, only to have them take it away from me for however long they take them away.
