„Crisistime“/ Krisenzeit

...Concept
KinoDynamiqueJena, that is: perfection meets improvisation, film meets music, arts meet reality, video- and filmartists meet the audience. This credo has its creative roots in 1999 Montreal and from there it spread around the world via Sydney, Barcelona, Brussels, Paris, Vienna, Bratislava, Hamburg, Dresden and Berlin to Jena.

Goals
KinoDynamiqueJena functions as a platform for the creative exchange of international filmmakers and at the same time forms an interface for various fields of cinematic art. Whether a filmmaker of feature-length films or shorts, a camera or sound board operator, a producer, actor/actress or musician, professional or novice – everyone who is committed to the manifold forms of the very medium of (short)film and whose motivation is fueled with a desire for innovation and creative expression, counts among the target group of this project.

Topic
Without doubt, the (non-)word of the year 2010 is 'crisis'. We all live in a world of crisis – both medially conveyed and in reality. So, clearly this is reason enough, to take it as a basis for artistic realization. In this respect, national as well as international artists and filmmakers are invited to approach the topic without boundaries and illustrate their perspectives.

Procedure / Schedule
Each session starts with the formation of film teams. The teams then organize and coordinate screenplay, shooting locations, directing, filming, sound and light, actors/actresses etc. – they independently design and plan ideas, discuss concepts, as well as test, rehears and film, up to the final editing of the production.

KinoLAB
The KinoLAB – a studio building in Bauhaus design in the centre of Jena – forms the creative epicentrum, which not only offers the filmmakers a professional workplace, but also room for mutual exchange of experiences and for the networking of interdisciplinary competences. The KinoLAB is the perfect place for the post-production as it is open twenty-four-seven in order to guarantee a smoothly functioning and processing of the short film productions.

Screenings
After the 60 hours of one session, the produced footage is presented to a public audience. The short films of each session will be presented at the 11-09., 14-09. and the 17-09-10. After the last screening, a platform for a public discussion between filmmakers, organizing team and the audience will be provided.




With the short film festival KinoDynamiqueJena going in its second round, the slogan „Plenty of ideas, but only little time“, applies as well as last year. Between the 09-09 and the 17-09-2010 we offer a platform for filmmakers to realize their ideas and perspectives concerning this year's topic „Time of Crisis“. KinoDynamiqueJena, that is short film production „live“: in 3 sessions, each of 60 hours, short films about the topic „Time of Crisis“ are to be filmed, edited, produced and projected.

KinoDynamiqueJena works in cooperation with FILM e.V. Jena and the EWNT. The FILM e.V. Jena is committed to sophisticated and extraordinary cinematic art in cinema. The EWNT (One World Network Thuringia) is the umbrella organization of development politically active NGOs and individual persons in Thuringia.


„Eine Menge Ideen und wenig Zeit“ lautet das Motto auch in diesem Jahr bei der 2. Auflage des Kurzfilmfestivals KinoDynamiqueJena. Vom 09.09. – 17.09.2010 wird Filmschaffenden die Plattform geboten, ihre Perspektiven zum diesjährigen Thema “Krisenzeit” umzusetzen. KinoDynamiqueJena ist Kurzfilmproduktion “live“: in 3 Sessions von jeweils 60 Stunden sollen kurze Filme zum Thema “Krisenzeit” gedreht, geschnitten, produziert und pr ...ojiziert werden.


KONZEPT
Dabei trifft Perfektion Improvisation, Film trifft Musik, Kunst trifft Realität, Video- und FilmkünstlerInnen treffen Publikum - nach diesem Credo, welches 1999 in Montreal seinen kreativen Ursprung fand und sich in den Folgejahren über Sydney, Barcelona, Brüssel, Paris, Wien, Bratislava, Hamburg, Dresden und Berlin ausbreitete, ist nun auch Jena zu einer innovativ kreativen Kinozelle avanciert.

ZIELE
KinoDynamiqueJena fungiert dabei als Plattform für den kreativen Austausch internationaler Film-schaffender und bildet gleichzeitig eine Schnittstelle für verschiedenste Bereiche der Filmkunst. Langfilmer, Kurzfilmer, Kameraleute und Tontechniker, Produzenten, Schauspieler und Musiker, Professionelle und Laien – all jene, die sich in verschiedenster Form dem Medium (Kurz-)Film in innovativer und kreativer Weise verschrieben sehen, sind Zielgruppe dieses Projekts.

THEMA
Krise ist ohne Zweifel das (Un-)Wort des Jahres 2010 und braucht keine Erklärung. Wir alle leben in einer krisengeschüttelten Zeit – medial oder real. Grund genug, das zum Gegenstand künstlerischer Gestaltung zu machen. Nationale sowie internationale Künstler und Filmemacher bekommen die Möglichkeit, sich frei dem Thema anzunähern und uns ihre Perspektiven zu zeigen.


ABLAUF
Zu Beginn einer jeden Session finden sich Filmteams zusammen, welche eigenständig Regie, Drehbuch, Kamera, Ton- und Lichttechnik, Drehorte, Schauspieler usw. sowie die einzelnen Arbeitsabläufe koordinieren und organisieren. Die Teams entwerfen unabhängig Ideen, discutieren Konzepte, probieren aus bis hin zur filmischen Umgesetzung.

KinoLAB
Zur Nachproduktion steht ein KinoLAB zur Verfügung - ein im Bauhausstil errichtetes Ateliergebäude im Zentrum Jenas, welches den einzelnen Filmteams rund um die Uhr frei zugänglich ist und so den reibungslosen Ablauf der Kurzfilmproduktionen gewährleistet. Ausgestattet mit Computern, Schnittplätzen und diverser Studiotechnik, bildet das KinoLAB das kreative Epizentrum, das den Filmschaffenden nicht nur einen professionellen Arbeitsplatz bietet, sondern gleichzeitig einen Raum für gegenseitigen Erfahrungsaustausch sowie für Vernetzung intradisziplinärer Kompetenzen schafft.

SCREENINGS
Nach Ablauf der 60 Stunden wird das entstandene Filmmaterial der Öffentlichkeit präsentiert. Am 11.09., 14.09. und 17.09.10 werden die Kurzfilme aus den jeweiligen Sessions vorgeführt. Nach dem letzten Screening findet eine als öffentliche Diskussionsplattform zwischen Filmschaffenden, Organisatoren und Publikum geplante Abschlussveranstaltung statt.
