Feisty london electronic bass’n'beats label Combat Recordings has intensified it’s assault of late, with the emergence of Combat A.V.
Spearheaded by Stormfield, it fuses the label’s audio output with fully synched combat motion graphics. Appearing first at the Plex/Combat party in 2009, it’s since then been rinsed out at various places like the REC Fest in Spain, Tacheles in Berlin, Yardcore and Mothers Against Noise in London, FutureEverything fest with Jesu/DeadFader/Cloaks in Manchester and this coming autumn the Unconquered Town Festival in Croatia.
As you’d imagine from the label’s vibe, it’s well thought-out, intense with violent bursts of chaos.
“Smashment” is a dancehall/jungle mashup, loosely based on tracks played at Festa Junina in London and Bass Infection / Sound Headquarters in Prague. It’s a little detour away from the usual 140bpm electro/techno/dubstep sets
