Great Work! Is it 'Blockbuster' Magic Bullet Look?
  • Burning Flag plus 1 year ago
Thanks! yeah, it was a combination really. I found that Blockbuster on its own was too intense so I lowered many of the settings and added other elements. It was mainly a time thing really, Looks can achieve a pretty strong grade without much work involved. Main Cancer Train film will be more subtle, probably just Color and After Effects work.

Congratulations again for this video! 'Blockbuster' it's the first look that I loved! For example i've used it in vimeo.com/13245957

beautiful shots, great edition, stunning color work. Do you use magic bullets as a stand alone soft?
the look on the girls faces on 1:12 is incredible, the baby looks so mature. those people in india are something out of this world, right? :)
  • Burning Flag plus 1 year ago
Thanks Alucine. I used the Magic Bullet Looks Plugin for Final Cut Pro and did some additional work using the built in correction tools like three way colour corrector and color 1.5 program.

Great work! Although i am very curious about your "custom" rig. I'd love to see, if your willing to share!
  • Burning Flag plus 1 year ago
Thanks Justin. The rig is really just a DIY version of products made by company's like Redrock etc. Its essentially a handlebar rig that steady's the image and gives me a bit more control. Sent me your email address and I will be happy to post you a pic.

Absolutely Incredible Work...I guess every Indian shuld thank u for makin this...u make each one of us very proud :))....I'v a one imp query..acually m thnkin to buy 60D nxt week...and i jst loved ur 7D images...would it possible to get same resuld with 60D ?? or 7D has a better video ?? plz revert back :))
  • Burning Flag plus 8 months ago
Hi Deepak, thanks for your comments. I personally haven't used the 60D but I have been told that the video is the same quality as the 7D. The 7D works a little better in low light (higher iso) but the 60D has a flip screen. I would say the 60D is a good cam to go for! :)

    Hi there,
I agree with Deepak- every Indian should thank you for such a beautiful portrayal of faces and places in our country :) I love how you've picked on every beat to match the frame.
FYI, there's an interesting contest called the India Is Global Video Challenge happening right now. It's by the Govt of India and you've got to send in your video in one of 3 categories. duration limit is some 3 minutes. Have a look at indiais.org, I think your video stands a great chance :)
    Great watching it :)
