Jamyang Choekyi & Lobsang Choedon are the daughters of Runggye Adak, a Tibetan nomad currently serving eight years in prison for publicly calling for the return of the Dalai Lama to Tibet.
In this heartfelt video statement they say, "As everyone knows, in 2007 Lithang Horse Racing festival, my father spoke for the return of the Dalai Lama and for unity of Tibetans. For these few words, he was sentenced to eight years in prison. He is innocent. The whole family regrets the sentencing, and we do not accept it. My father's words represents grievances and hope of Tibetans in Tibet. Also, Chinese government always claim that Tibetans in Tibet are happy under China, I believe, from this action, everyone will know if Chinese government is correct or not."
