Love these Mandlebox/bulb videos. This is one of the best so far.

I love the idea of exploring worlds that have always existed in mathematics. It's as much a process of discovery as it is creativity.

I too think it is amazing how these structure's have been found in the underlying patterns of infinite numbers - its so beautiful!!

Very cool. So what kind of render times we talking about here?

I would be happy to buy the software, is it possble to get camera out of the software you're using for use with other 3D programs for compositing purposes. Also, (I am getting greedy here) is there a stereo mode in the software. You could rig it manually I assume, but wondered if was a feature. Is there a manual for the software online somewhere?
  • hömpörgő 1 year ago
You can find it here with the manual: fractalforums.com/index.php?action=downloads
    Its very easy to use.
I think there is no stereo mode at the moment, but yes it can be made manually.
The rendering time was 12 days.

This is what I imagine an alien world might look like. Not like anything that's been imagined in Hollywood so far (notwithstanding maybe the 2-second glimpse at an alien world in Contact).

Also reminds me of a certain famous sci-fi novel by Arthur C. Clarke which shall remain nameless for spoiler purposes.
