I'm using the RedRock Micro Shoulder Mount as a slider/dolly attached to a Manfrotto tripod.

This is a series of test shots to see if the rails of the shoulder mount can be used as a make shift dolly.
Shots were taking by sliding the camera forward and back on the rails as well as parallel or sideways to the object being filmed.
Editing in Final Cut, some shots have the smooth cam filter applied just to give the footage a little extra help although most shots were smooth and the filter did very little in helping to make the shot even smoother.
When the camera got out towards the end of the rails, where there was less support from the tripod base, I did notice some shaking.
