Wei recieved his BEng degree with the first class honour in 2003 and PhD in 2009 both in electronic engineering.
His doctoral thesis was on representing 3D facial expressions using statistical shape models.
His main research interests focus on the areas of facial articulation and dynamics analysis, surface modelling, 3D data registration algorithms and databases of facial articulations which can be used for the research of psychology, visual perception and computer vision.
