Here's my first successful surf sesh with my GoPro HD. I set it to 720p at 60fps. I did a color effect on the first shot, but the rest is ungraded. The GoPro's bitrate really doesn't stand up too well to heavy color grading, but who cares.
I mounted it on my my 5'8" "fish" surf board with GoPro's adhesive surf mount. It does add a noticeable amount of weight, especially if you're on a short board and it's mounted on the nose. This being said, the GoPro doesn't really effect my surfing.
About half way through the session my camera's casing fogged up right in front of the lens. I thought the footage would be unusable, but there really wasn't much of an effect. The fogged up casing acted basically as a diffuser, and added a soft look to some of the shots.
