    Spiders and tarantulas molt their skin in order for them to grow bigger, the skins they shed look like almost a perfect replica. When they are spiderlings they tend to molt every six weeks, when they are adults they molt about once a year.

    Twilight (the tarantula you see above) currently molts every two to three months. I've wanted to make a video of one of my tarantulas molting for quite a while.
