SIPHO AND JOYCE
Sipho and Joyce is a 27-minute documentary/docudrama that explores the daily realities of two AIDS orphans. The film follows Sipho and Joyce on their small farm, a fragmented environment that serves as a metaphor for the ravages AIDS has wrought on families throughout Africa. A caring nurse involves them in a UNICEF singing competition that raises awareness on AIDS, and both children are brought back into the world and given hope for the future.
