This was my first outdoor test of the Canon XHA1 and RedRock M2 adapter. I just wanted to get a feel for the camera in full manual mode while in an outdoor environment around magic hour. I think the video speaks for itself.

All settings on the camera were stock, 1080i, 24F, and I used a Nikon 50mm lens. No color correction was used...just tweaked brightness/contrast in Sony Vegas. Shot, directed, and edited by Blake Burress.

When you're shooting with the M2 try turning off the O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) on the XHA1. So you won't get that black crescent bouncing in your shot.

Haha, actually another shooter gave me the same tip when I first showed him the footage, so after that shoot I didn't have the problem anymore.

    Thanks, though!
