If you are training for your first-ever distance run, it may surprise you to learn that most training plans do NOT encourage you to run every day in preparation. Various cross-training exercises (biking, swimming, brisk walking, etc.) can play a strategic role in your training by building overall tone and endurance while reducing the pounding on your primary running muscles, joints, and tendons. In this video, Doug lets you in on some of his cross-training activities.

For info on how to get involved, please visit RunFAR.org.

Select a race of any distance, in any geographic region, then prepare to run in it (or walk/run) on behalf of Covenant Mercies and the children we serve in Africa. After you register at RunFAR.org/register we will send you a sample message that you can send to your friends, to ask for their support as you run for this great cause. It's that simple!
