The bridge which was broken due to heavy rains during April 2008. One can see the dislodged steel girdles and broken piers.
One of co-passengers, the old couple returning from Chennai after an eye operation, of 2841 coromandel exp say that they were held up near this bridge for two days in the train during that time. Station master after two days informed passengers to leave train and go by road to Kolkata.
