Chance for Change: Designed for young people aged 16-25 who are on probation anywhere in Scotland, this programme supports participants to consider what kind of changes they’d like to make in their lives, and helps them to develop the skills and tools to make these changes reality.

We offer support over 12-14 months, during which participants have the chance to ‘live wild’ in the Highlands - an intensive opportunity for participants to get away from their everyday environments and make positive decisions about their future. The wilderness is a powerful learning environment for young people who’ve often struggled with traditional education. Here, actions and their consequences are magnified; highlighting the importance of skills like communicating effectively, planning ahead and setting goals.

We help young people to relate the skills they learn on wilderness journeys to their lives back home, and support them as they use their new skills to reduce their risk of (re)offending and work towards employment, education, training or voluntary work,
