Crews continued their work Friday, July 25, 2008, to remove the CRANDIC raialroad bridge, and other debris, from the Cedar River near Penford in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The bridge was destroyed by floodwaters in June, despite the railroad's loading the bridge with rail cars as the waters rose. The cleanup is expected to take 30 to 40 days, and rebuilding will take another eight months. GazetteOnline video by Elizabeth Hladky.
