The clips used in this production were captured entirely using perspectiveAerials' Canon DSLR Aerial Camera Platform equipped with Canon 5D and 7D HDDSLR cameras during production of a soon to be released film shot in Basilicata, Italy at the Craco ruins. This magnificent site is not only an amazing shooting location but also holds an incredible history reaching back as far as 540AD. A few scenes in Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" were shot at this very location.

This production clearly demonstrates the flexibility and unlimited uses of our compact Canon DSLR aerial camera platform when equipped with HDDSLR cameras and used for film production purposes.

Shooting in this remote ruin was somewhat of a challenge. Trails and old pathways were heavily covered in bush making moving from one location to the next extremely difficult. Due to weak, crumbling structures and the fragile condition of this site it would have been very costly if not impossible to bring in big heavy video equipment such as cranes and booms which could have possibly caused some safety issues and certainly demanding on the film's budget.

Using a single compact aerial tool we were able to capture boom, crane, dolly and of course aerial camera footage indoors and out....the true definition of multipurpose tool.

Equipment list:

Zeiss 21mm f/2.8
