Might check your end titles, year seems to be off, and was that Muse? I would like to know what music it was. It was perfect.

Thanks...I'll get that fixed. The song is called "Take a Bow"

Wow Andrew! this is some acomplishment. Whilst many of us cannot even see any stars due to the excessive light pollution you have given us a glimpse of what 'night' really is and where we really are, thanks so much! :))

Beautiful work, Andrew - especially liked the mountain shots around 0:50 and 1:27. Can I ask what your exposure times were, typically?
  • Andrew Curtis 1 year ago
Thanks edvard, those two shots were from my 35mm 1.8 DX lens, shooting 20 second exposures. Here's one of the stills from that sequence:

For shooting stars, what kind of setting so you use? What kind of glass do you use?

If you don't mind sharing, what were the settings you were using for your shots?
  • Aaron Eveland plus 7 months ago
I'm trying to get good star lapses, but my shots come out very noisy with a red tint.
  • Andrew Curtis 7 months ago
    What camera/lens are you using?
  • Aaron Eveland plus 7 months ago
I use the sony a33 and a 50mm 1.7. If you check out my last video I posted there are a couple night shots that are really grainy. The shot at the end is a star lapse and you will see what I am talking about.
  • Andrew Curtis 7 months ago
Your camera is just not up to it. My d90 can barely handle it without tons of noise. These shots are all 30 sec @iso 3200 with f/2.8 lenses
