21. Countdown to Motion: Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid Drives.
Monterey California, August 2010: The Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid made its driving debut on
a closed road in Monterey California, just days prior to its appearance at the 2010 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

After being shipped over from Germany by plane, engineers handed the keys of the new 918 Spyder Hybrid to Porsche AG Design Chief Michael Mauer. The car drove under its own power which comes from the mid mounted 3.4 liter V8 out of the RS Spyder as well as an all electric mode which powers just the front
wheels.

The benchmark has been kicked mercilessly into the sky...

I take back a chunk of my props I've given to others and give then happily to this designer dude.

    You're a hero man!

Perhaps this type of car, e.g., a truely useful hybrid performance car, will be a reality available to those with the desire to own such a machine. I would note that the 918, like my Cayman S, is a mid-engined car, unlike the 911!

Shazam says the song is Quiso No by Agustin Garcia.

And I can confirm it is having checked through Spotify. I don't know about the piano piece from 1min05 in to 1min30 in though, and that's the part I like most.

Blue Beach by Rob Lansberg. I found the CD from a couple of sellers on eBay, the album is called Balance. I just bought myself a copy, 13 Euros including postage.

I love the design of this car even as a Ferrari man, I'd love to see it being pushed hard though.

Up until about 1:30, I composed myself a day before flying out to shoot this car, and although I don't know Rob Lansberg nor Agustin Garcia's work, the chord progressions are fairly popular and mainstream so I knew someone would find songs that sound similar.

That car is one hot piece of ass, im not too sure about those lights though... and as Terra Hawk has said, where can we see it being driven properly?

AdvanTech, you really should make a longer track of what can be heard from 1:05 to 1:30. It's so awesome, I even would buy it.
