One Tuesday in August we jumped on the subway and headed to Queens for the third event in our Plate to Gate series of movable feasts - atop a 40,000 sq ft rooftop farm in New York City! Brooklyn Grange's Farmer Ben Flanner and his co-partners picked vegetables all morning and chef Patrick Connolly cooked up a feast from all that fresh produce - chard, greens, tomatoes, turnips, herbs, beets, carrots, fennel and cucumbers. We set the table in the middle of the 'field' and ate with awe as the sun set over the New York skyline.
