The Lenca are an indigenous group in the mountains of southwestern Honduras. Suffering from the effects of severe poverty they have been assisted by humanitiarian groups such as Heifer International. In this video a Lenca woman, who was the recipient of a heifer, has raised its offspring and is now passing the gift to another woman in the community. The recipient will do likewise. The heifer provides milk and cheese for the women's families.
