The World Youth Congress in Scotland held in August 2005 explored young peoples motivations to volunteer.
Since the cancellation of the UN's World Youth Forum series, Peace Child International has decided to set up its own series of, currently, 2-yearly congresses specifically to promote the role that young people can play in the field of sustainable development and the achievement of the UN's Millennium Development Goals.
