I made this music video for my sister. It's about 90% stop motion and about 10% fancy pants after effects work. I tried to make the computer stuff rough so it fits with the camera.

The camera I used is a really old fujifilm digital dealie. I used water color paint on paper for most of the objects. the rest is printed. Check out the photos to the right.

one question though (i am making right now a video with cut out paper figures with a digital camera), did you have the lighting while making it or did you postproduce it in AE?

A little bit of both. My camera reacted differently depending on the type of light bulb. In after effects I used adjustment layers to make all the clips look similar and a few light layers to warm it all up.

Being completely honest? I adore it. I'm not even trying to be artsy about it either. It was just really nice. I don't get it at all, but that's probably what makes it better for me.

The whole thing was seamless and interesting. I didn't loose focus on it for one second. It also had just the right amount of awkwardness about it.

absolutely wonderful. i am not a big fan of stopmotion, but this has a great look, totaly nice colors, a freaky tender storyline. and i cant tell how this is mixed with AE, but it looks great!
