This is a short film I've been wanting to complete for a while. I wrote, directed, shot, and edited the piece. I shot it about a year ago using a Canon XL-2 with the help of a friend, Jason Smith. The two biggest issues were two-fold. First, our lights were fairly limited, and as the sun went down, we were unable to use given light, as well. To counter this, a number of color corrections, level adjustments, and other arrangements to increase the contrast of the image were made. This caused some video grain and noise that was rather troublesome. It took a considerable amount of work to remove it from each shot, but I feel that I am now very competent at removing this kind of noise from any underlit video. Once the video was clean and in a finished state, CJM Venter offered his abilities and created a score, which I feel turned out fantastic. He is also doing a considerable amount of soundtrack work for my first feature, titled "They Walk," which is in editing.
