Sheeps really do move that fast if they think no-ones watching.

Very nice Sir. You've probably just really pissed Charlie off though! What rig you usin?
  • Euan Preston plus 1 year ago
Hehe. I built a rig that attaches to my Glidetrack. Saw how to do it on Blue Peter one time.
  • Ian Hughes 1 year ago
What length is your Glidetrack... so to speak.
  • Euan Preston plus 1 year ago
    1M. Considering an extension though....
  •
  • Phil Hinton plus 1 year ago
Excellent! How did you do the dolly moves in the timelapse? Post or other?
  • Euan Preston plus 1 year ago
Thanks Phil! I used a Glidetrack (glidetrack.com) with a simple motion control rig attached.

Beautiful work Euan! What do you think of a 550D model?
  • Euan Preston plus 1 year ago
From what I hear, the 550d is a great camera. I've not shot with one yet though.

Wow, those scenes were breathtaking. Such vivid colors. I loved the shape of the boat at 1:00. Reminded me of Minas Tirith, for all you LOTR nerds out there ;) haha
  • Euan Preston plus 1 year ago
Thanks Andrew! The boat is actually a shed made from an old, upturned fishing coble. You see them lots of them on the Northumberland coast.

Did you go to film school?
  • Euan Preston plus 1 year ago
    No. Does it show?!
  • John Betz 1 year ago
I actually thought it was done quite well. The reason I asked was because I wanted to know where you learned how to use equipment like that and so forth. Keep up the good work!
  • Euan Preston plus 1 year ago
Met the devil at a crossroads, thought the whole stringed instrument thing was a bit old so I went for timelapse.

On reflection, I wish I'd given it a little thought first.

Great work Euan. Thought you may have got your hands on one of those Kessler motorised units, but then read to see you've got a DIY-Glidetrack combo. Looking forward to seeing that in action sometime!
