Stereoscopic Intro for Fredrikstad Kino (Fredrikstad Cinema)

Sound design by Ola Apenes, 5.1 mix by Jonas Bjerketvedt.

Idea: The logo is based on the old film leader, and the idea was to go through the transformation both in time and space. The sound design seeks to enhance that feeling by going from mono to surround.

Challenges: The challenge was to make a credible 3D space of what was available. The particles and the background texture was necessary to give a better sense of space in the short time frame of the animation.

Note; the stereoscopic settings (interaxial, etc.) are optimized for the cinema, giving a slightly wrong impression on a computer screen. Some ghosting is due to the mpeg compression. The final version was rendered in Scope and Flat formats, and encoded as DCPs to be displayed with Dolby 3D at the cinema.
