holy shit! your socket work needs to be implemented! :D it's amazing, I want the nodes in the compositor to have adaptive sockets when in groups.

I'm gonna try and get your branch from the svn and check it out.

O_O OMG, i just can't believe the amazing that this will be, you can imagine? User will be able to made some sort of custom modifiers with this! even more efficient than the possibles python modifiers, because you are making calculations in naive code with nodes!

This is outstanding and very important work, thank you so much Lukas for bring the VFX power to the masses!

As a SoftimageICE guy.. i´m absolutely amazed by your work here!
i´m thinking about visual feedback of states and values (like "showvalues" on ports of ICE). is it possible here?

This is one of the most important features ever developed in blender. This is what made XSI stand out again. blending houdini's capabilities with ease of use.

Blender foundation should really support your development on this as much as they can, this is truly important.

As for a small request as some people already asked and I think they are right. Try making this as close to xsi ICE as possible. Not only you will starting to define a standard (names nodes etc) but it will be a lot easier to migrate, to get more people interested and most of all being ICE is already production proven it would ease the major_step of people to start understanding and using this technology.

Keep going with this astonishing work!

Outstanding! Thank you for your work! I used the same system when I was serious with music creation. That time I used Sync Modular to create some custom effect processors and synths for electronic music!
It's the best way, I'm very glad to see this in Blender :) Hope to use it soon...
