Hey Sean, thanks for this! Just a quick question, do your highlight and shadow curves layers shift colour at all? Just wondering if it would be best to set the blending mode for these to luminosity, that way you are only affecting luminance and not saturation? Just a thought, correct me if I'm wrong!

i have found a worse color shift using luminosity. i actually prefer adding an HSL layer at the end to knock down the saturation by just a little bit, maybe by 10. many factors contribute and no situation is ever the same, lighting, skin tone, angle, etc.

just posted on FS. You should have told us you made these they are great! Do you have any other videos in the works?
  • Sean Armenta plus 1 year ago
I had posted these on the Fstoppers forums. I do have others in the works, and I just want to maintain a certain level of quality with these tutorials. once I'm able to buy a 5D Mk2 I can produce them more frequently.

Pretty good. Just a bit sad that the mouse pointer was not captured, at least I can't see it.
    Thx for the post anyway.
  •
  • Love the result!
Could the mouse pointer be made visible ?
a bit frustrating to hang on when I'm not sure where you "are". Especially when the CS3,4,5 is compleatly new to me.

I'm looking forward to see more!
Do you do stuff in Lightroom as well ?
