with hopes of seeing more people combining HDR & time-lapse.
Also, do you run into any problems combining the images into an HDR because of the panning, or is it slow enough so that there's no ghosting or anything?
In total, how many individual images did this 19 second video end up combining?
The Pan is controlled with the Mumford Time Machine and rotary table. Expensive toys and a pain re: power but if you are so inclined i highly recommend the setup. It compensates for shutter release time so it moves then pauses then moves that is why there is no ghosting.
It was about 4,000 photos that made up this sequence. The math was 7 bracketed exposures per HDR still. 30 frames per second for 19 seconds. So... 7 X 30 X 19 = 3,990 exposures. There are other ways to get similar results but.... that is what this was.

Have you experimented with creating HDR time-lapse from a single exposure or do you always bracket multiple exposures?
Hoping to do so experiments in the next week or so. Will let you know how I get on.
it Literally made me smile :)
Can you give me some tips on capturing ??? Like do I pause the panning shoot and resume, or should I just set the panning on the slowest setting and let the intervolometer shoot away ?? Also in Photomatix Pro, do you use the anti-ghosting feature when processing ???
