When the Pittsburgh Tech Council needed a video to kick off their 2010 STEM Summit (stem.pghtech.org), I knew I wanted to tell a story instead of spouting facts and figures. Working on this project was super fun and we did it on a tight budget with Canon Digital SLR camera technology.
The STEM initiative is a movement to help Science, Technology, Education and Mathematics companies invest in the future workforce through internships, apprenticeships and etc. This story chronicles the life of a woman who becomes a success in her career field. The film bids the viewer (the STEM Summit attendees) to ask what if they would invest in her as a young person, so she could impact their companies in the future.
