This video depicts the diversity of lifeways in the High Andes, including the Feast of the Satiris in Puno, the Yarqa Aspiy in Ayacucho, the Tambraico Apu ritual of respect to the deity in Huancavelica, a healing ritual in Cajamarca, and various cultural events along with an explanation of agricultural knowledge from Lamas. Includes geographical information and features the local music and dance for each region. All of these are very important moments of mutual nurturance in Andean lifeways and were recorded by the participants and the native peoples of these different communities, with the cooperation of Rodrigo Otero Heraud and Maja Tillmann Salas from the Project on Andean Peasant Technologies (PRATEC) based in Lima, Peru. Made in April 2004. In Spanish, Quechua and Aymara with English subtitles. More about PRATEC videos here: tvmultiversity.blogspot.com/2010/08/selection-of-films-from-pratec.html
