BEYOND THE LINE is about a very hot subject, in fact, one of the most controversial: torture as a rescue method. The media like to avoid this issue afraid of the unpopular statements. It is a moral dilemma for all authorities. However the crucial point of the conflict lies not in the judicial treatment but in the moment of the executive decision. In our case, two young policemen take a decision on life and death which is clearly too much for them to handle. To torture in order to rescue is above all not a legal but a human question. To violate the rights of a pedophilic to rescue a child? Sounds right at first, but morality and ethics collide together here. The line between right and wrong can be very thin in such extreme cases and, before you know it, you have crossed the line. And your intentions were just good.
