Working on the terrain simulation for the Into the Trees collaboration with Zoë Keating. Everything should be considered placeholders as I flesh out the behavior of the terrain engine. Just got bored looking at wireframes and cubes so I put in some placeholder graphics to keep me inspired. The 'redwoods' are currently just tall cones. The undergrowth is currently just winter trees and grass. All is in flux.
Tackling God-Rays and making good progress. Not quite there yet but happy with how it is working so far. Using 100 samples of a 512x512 FBO with a ghetto high-pass filter (I will get back to that next) and overlaying the resulting image onto the final framebuffer. Runs in realtime.
