Alex White gave me a list of ten bands that she thought would be good for a session with us. The Yolks were at the top of that list. It took a few months to wrangle them in, but we caught them on a good day when they finally made it over. Nathan was nursing a cut on his forehead he received the night before during a crazed dance party that ensued at some point in their set at the Crown Tap Room. The whole band seemed to carry the adrelnaline from that show into recording with us. They even invited a dozen or so friends, who were all discussing how fun the night before was, to sing backup on a few soul classics.
