While hanging out in LA with a friend I was introduced to Edward Burtynsky's work. This was just a few days before heading out onto the salt flats so it was still fresh on my mind. His work really speaks to me and has injected some creative direction for my own work. I had the opening scene from Burtynsky's Manufactured Landscapes in mind as I was driving out into this seamless white expanse. This is my weak attempt at trying capture the surreal feeling and sense of scale of the Bonneville Salt Flats.
