This is just an experiment in look and feel.

Using footage from the same day as part one, I wanted to get a kind of vintage feel. I don't know, maybe it doesn't need all the artifacts but I do really like the color tones.

XHA1 and Letus Ultimate combo. I used Magic Bullet for the scratches, etc. but not the color grading...that was done with Premiere's cc tools.

yup, worked for me. Surreal color work/slo mo combo. The coloring works well here. It adds a soft tone to the event-as if we are watching a clip from a long time ago. IMO, the balance is just right.

Looks reasonably authentically vintage; Frank was perfect choice, too.

Looks really good. I agree, I don't think it needs the scratches and flicker. The shot of the pickup with the caravan is spot on.

  • Great footage.

With the Vintage feel I think maybe having the colour not correct would help it too like cross processing the image rather then desaturated. Getting authentic film feel is pretty tricky so you've done pretty well.

Steven, Am I right in thinking it wasn't simply desaturated? there's a little indefinable 'something' in the colouring that makes it very filmic and pleasing to the eye. Like some of that colouring from the late fifties period. I love that stuff. I almost wanted the flickering to go away so I could study it better!

Thanks for the responses. I just replaced the file. I did some additional color work on it and removed the flicker, which I thought was too distracting and necessary.

I like this one better than the other one.

you got the right visual effect for nostalgia.

i appreciate your desire to polish things off with Sinatra but i would also like to see how you mix your own soundscape using your own audio.
