Except for the sign in the middle and the circular shape, the initial drawing (#2 pencil) and colors were unplanned, and unfolded spontaneously as the drawing progressed. Color and light effects were created by shading (heavier pencil pressure for dark color, light pressure for light color) and by layering colors on top of each other.
This mandala was a commissioned drawing. The stop sign has spiritual significance for the client. What does it mean to you?
