In an effort to make some of the educational content from the AAMI 2010 conference available to healthcare technology management professionals who were not able to attend, AAMI has posted a complete video of one of the sessions from the event:

“Integrating Medical Device Systems into the Hospital Information System” outlines case studies of hospitals that successfully have incorporated real-time data from bedside medical devices into their information technology networks. Panelists in this session discuss project management strategies to help you effectively integrate medical devices into your own hospital information system, techniques for bridging the communication gap between CE and IT leadership, and methods you can use to successfully guide your hospital through the landmines of connectivity. (Duration: 75 minutes)

This is just one of 50 educational sessions that were held at the 2010 conference, and it’s typical of the quality of sessions that will be presented at the AAMI 2011 Conference & Expo, June 25-27, 2011, in San Antonio. The full schedule for AAMI 2011 will be posted at aami.org/ac by December 15, 2010.
