After playing around with my original design I decided that it wasn't sturdy enough to carry the weight of the camera, lens, LDCVF, battery grip, video light and mic.

Soooo.....

I did a little modification and am please to say that the newer version addressed the problem very nicely as well as some added benefits.

I am now able to go from handheld camera, to the rig, to mounting the rig assembly onto a fluid head pretty easily.
