Waterline Media short film wins Best Cinematography and Best Story at The Drake Fly Fishing Film Awards!
So my good friends Greg Dini and Gregg Arnold called us late afternoon a few Thursdays ago saying that they wanted us to produce a film to submit to The Drake Fly Fishing Film Awards. They wanted us to show that the Louisiana marsh was not as bad as the news media portrayed it to be. With the deadline only 7 days away we had very little time . Plans where made, flights were booked, skiffs were prepped and the next day Marc and I were on our way to New Orleans, spending the following two and half days filming in rainy and windy weather. Returning on Tuesday, Marc and I put together the 5 minute film over the next two days pulling a couple all nighters editing and were able to deliver a finished product before the deadline. We didn’t have months to prepare, or a stockpile of footage to use, so we produced the best short film we could in a total 5 days. The marsh is alive and well and a big thank you to Captain Greg Dini and Captain Gregg Arnold. Enjoy!
