Good piece. Would like to see more hard data put into it, but it is short. you after a great qualitative perspective. I especially love it because the point is made who knows the area better than the people who live there. if it were truly about the environment it would be about the animals as well as the people and using the people, who have the clear advantage in the nature vs human dichotomy, to truly understand and live harmoniously with the land. I see this manifestation of environmental group as similar to the sects of religion involved in the crusades. Its essentially the same thing, We have to stop making the same mistakes of passed.
